The International Consortium of Islamic Finance Teaching and Learning Centers (ICIFTLC) is established as a collaborative network supporting the development of human capital and competencies in the areas of Islamic finance teaching and learning as well as encouraging joint scholarly and research work among members of the consortium. The ICIFTLC seeks to integrate available recourses and best practices so as to promote effective and innovative learning and teaching of Islamic finance around the world.

This initiative is carefully planned to ensure proper reference and alignment to the important initiative of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai of establishing Dubai as the Capital of Islamic Economy.

The direction from His Highness for an institution of higher learning such as Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU) is absolutely clear for generating useful knowledge for the development of the Islamic Finance Industry.
